Movie Opener Brainstorming & Research
Rise- Film Opening- the first thing I noticed when watching this video was something I really liked it was when he put on his headphones and the music he was listening to was then the music the audience was listening to. I also liked the fact that he put all his stuff down and it gave a close up of each item in my opinion this created suspense and I felt like something was going to happen. The time when 2 different songs are both playing at the same time is also something I observed. I also personally liked the transition from the soccer ball to the other dude. When he takes his headphones off the music stops and I liked that. At the end of the film I liked the real close ups of each of the actors faces it made me feel like I needed to watch whatever was going to come after.
Offline- Observations- I really liked how it started off by typing. This film right off the bat gave a creepy vibe especially with the girl in the cage. I liked how they went between the girl in the cage and the girl checking an Instagram account, it gave off the idea that the girl on the Instagram posts could of been the girl in the cage. I also liked that throughout the film you could see one of the girls was always online and by the end it was her in the cage it left a message that being online too much can have consequences and that you should try to be more offline instead. the music used also created a sad and depressed mood and helped move along the creepy theme.
Dear lover- observations- the film clips of the scenery at the beginning gave off a peaceful and serene vibe and I immediately knew that this was going to be a peaceful and happy film and probably wasn't going to have tragedy. I really liked that there was someone narrating it and it gave the idea that it was the girl being filmed that was crying alone. the narrator also starts to give a background story so the audience knows what's going on and why the gir is alone i the woods. I like how the film switches between present and past in the present you see the same girl but a lot more happy. I also like the fact that the film ended when there was clearly more left to the story this made me want to continue watching
Dare to Thrill- observations-I like how the film started with 5 people laughing and enjoying their time together it gave off a mood of fun the sudden loud music also established this mood. the fact that they found keys makes me believe that maybe they were in a scavenger hunt or something. the screams and laughs also makes it seem like their have a lot of fun i liked the many transitions and different angles of the car on the road. to me personally when they opened the trunk they seemed freaked out it made me think that something terrible happened and maybe there was a dead body there.
Always watching- I like how it starts off with him being at a therapist session and how it seems to go to the past. when he smiles at the camera directly in front of him it gives off a creepy vibe the music also sets a dark mood that makes it scary and creepy when he is talking i think he is making the audience understand his motive and his main goal. from the way he is talking it makes me think that he is envious and jealous of his best friend
The blue Boar-right off the bat I noticed the costumes and outfits this was a good idea to establish the time. I noticed the closeups of the 2 peoples faces.
White coat- I really enjoyed the sounds right from the beginning, although I was really confused because for a minute I thought that the doctor and patient were both in the same room
Stalker- although I really enjoyed the films I felt like the music and the actor didn't really correlate with each other but overall I really enjoyed it
nostalgia- I like the music and audio used it went really well with the film and I also really enjoyed the transitions that were used it was really smooth
