Evaluating Peer Reviews
Summary- From the 9 peer reviews I received most of the key criticisms was the overly loud music at the beginning and end as well as adding more transitions and cuts and using more effects. While I was reading them I would go back and play the video and I had to agree with the loud music I plan to lower the volume. What specific elements of the film opening did you like? Was there anything that left you confused? (be specific) What suggestions do you have for changes? I like that the plot was very clear N/A I suggest that you shorten the jump-roping and boxing clips, I felt that they were a little too long. Maybe add one or two other exercises. Editing week 2
titles and fonts- in one of the pictures above is shown the title that I ended up going for. in the end I decided to use the fight preparation for the font I've been debating whether using the one in the picture or something more sharp and angular. Video effects- in the beginning of the film where the title is shown I decided to make it so it travels and moves downwards to the corner of the screen. video transitions- for transitions i have decided to use wipe dissolve and fade and I'm also debating on whether to use some more exciting ones audio affects- for audio I ended up using a song that just screams action exercise and hard work after my long search I really like the audio I chose problems- during editing my more serious problem I've encountered is making cuts without making my film too short solution- for solutions I have decided that if my film does get too short I can just film more time spent editing- for editing I spend about 30 minutes a day \people involved- ...
Editing week 1
Since I'm doing this alone I am editing myself I decided to edit on my phone as it would be easier to edit (I'm editing on iMovie) Titles and fonts- in my editing app I have been looking at the different types of fonts available as well as the title I should use for my film opening, for my titles I'm thinking about something that establishes what the movie is about. So far I have "the fight: preparation" or "fight on" or maybe even "rising up" personally I'm leaning more on the fight preparation. Video effects used I'm thinking about including an effect that also represents action packed exercise since my main theme is a girl preparing for a fight I'm thinking about using strong colors like red or neon ones Video transitions - in my picture above I made sure to take a picture of my editing film in the middle of a transition, the transition shown is slide. Filming week 2
In the 2nd week of filming I wanted to bring some positions or clips that would make sure to bring suspense to my film opener in order to make it more exciting. I wanted to make sure I got the right one so I went over many clips that could do that. With this picture I think it will do what I want it to do it will make the audience wonder and want to watch more I plan to put it at the end of the film in order to make a type of cliffhanger.
