Avatar the Last Airbender this video shows contrast because Zuko is mad and enraged but his uncle is cool as a cucumber there is a difference in their emotions in this scene Zuko wants to go find Aang because he saw a big light beam only the avatar could do his uncle is laid back and tries to convince Zuko that its probably not him Zuko starts getting annoyed because he's not being supported there are a lot of examples of simultaneity in this scene general Iroh is playing a game you can here the wind in the background and it shifts to Katara and her brother finding aang the sound of the wind never stops This shows parallelism because it goes over time Katara is the narrator and she shifts from 100 years ago to 2 years ago when her father left it skips over time which is a type of example they used in the video last week

Five master edits

Contrast- used to show contrast between two different scenes I used my stuffed animals wearing masks and social distancing and then contrasting that with them without any masks and not social distancing Parallelism- connects 2 scenes by focusing on the differences and similarities I used a piece of gum and then a pack of gum this shows that its both related to gum  Symbolism- showcases the connection between 2 shots the first shot was of my fruit bowl and I zoomed into it and then changed the shot to zooming out of just an apple simultaneity- cuts between 2 shots occurring at the same time to create suspense I showed an empty plate zoomed in and then showed a stack of pancakes Leitmotiff- a reoccurring theme associated with something in particular I chose the change of time I zoomed into my phone clock and then zoomed out with it being a completely different time on my pc

Camera Angles from a Movie

Review of camera angles from Captain America Civil War (2016) I chose this movie to show the camera angles because I have always been a Marvel fan it full of action and its just fun to watch because of this action filled movie there's a lot of camera angles to choose from. This movie is about a conflict that they have on whether to fall under the authority of the United Nations this conflict starts to divide the team up they start to become enemies which is why it was named civil war The first angle that I chose is an establishing shot it is the first thing that people see when the movie starts it serves as a type of suspenseful and mysterious intro because you don't know were it is exactly it just makes the audience feel like something scary is about to happen as well as feel isolated since it gives of a cold and alone type of feeling This is an over the shoulder shot as you can see the police over the shoulder of someone this gives a feeling to the audience that something is...

2 Posts I Commented On

I decided to comment on Ludgana and Aniya's blogs because the subjects that they used were very funny the shots that I commented on were establishing shots and pan shots they were the ones that made me feel gloomy and sad and the full body shot from Ludgana made me happy and laugh. As for Aniya I commented on the eye level and extreme closeups because again she used funny subjects that were a way to show her creativity I then commented on her low angle video because it made her seem really tall it made me feel tiny. the articles made me deeply understand their shots and be able to recognize them
